The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and the Development and Reform Commission recently issued a notice requiring all localities to strictly control the energy consumption of landscape lighting such as public facilities and large buildings, strictly control the scale of landscape lighting construction, and resolutely eliminate inefficient lighting products.

       The two departments require that the construction of landscape lighting projects with excessive brightness and energy consumption is strictly prohibited, and the use of powerful searchlights, high-power floodlights, large-area neon lights and other high-brightness and high-energy luminaires in landscape lighting is strictly prohibited.
